Avoid mold problems on the wooden material

Problem:

The hot tub has been standing for 2-3 years without water and with a wooden cover on, without having been used.

Mold has started growing on benches. They are so attacked that the tree breaks. See pictures!

Solution:

It is important that all water is drained from the hot tub, especially if it's notgoing to be used for a long time. A good tip is to position the barrel so that it is approx. 1 cm higher at the "front" (where the heater is). Then the water flows naturally towards the drain on the opposite side of the base. If the barrel is placed flat, it will probably drain anyway, but not as quickly. If the barrel is tilted "the wrong way", water will remain around the edge of the base.

Another important thing when you don't use the hot tub for a long time is not to cover it too tightly. There needs to be a small space between the cover and the top of the hot tub so that moisture can escape.
